One of the most common questions I get asked, and it’s frequency is just going exponential lately with this extreme low volatility environment were in, is when are we going to get into the VXX?

Remember the VXX is the long volatility portion of our VTS Tactical Volatility Strategy that tends to profit when markets are declining.  Some people have a strong desire to be contrarian and try to enter the reverse positions ahead of time so they can catch that eventual pop in the VIX Index.

Of course the VIX will spike at some point and the markets will crash, but trying to time that is futile.  I think now is a great time to remind people that being contrarian and holding the VXX is a poor idea at best.

Please enjoy the video, and as always follow up questions are always welcome.
