VTS Community,

I know for some people the Christmas and New Year celebrations may not quite be over yet and I do hope you have a little more time off still, but markets are open again and 2018 has officially started.

2017 was a little bit of a strange year in that we’ve never seen volatility that low for that consistently long before, but fortunately it was likely the exception rather than the rule and we should see some volatility return to the markets at some point this year.  I welcome it and am very much looking forward to a fantastic year

As we start a new year, this is often the time when people make their annual allocation decisions for their portfolio’s.  Now to be honest the markets don’t know whether it’s January or June so the calendar year is irrelevant, but just mentally this is often what people do.

So I’ve put together a short video that might help guide that decision of which of our three volatility strategies you’ll follow to start the year.  Of course you’ll have access to all of them, nothing is written in stone and changes can be made anytime, but just to help you start the year with confidence perhaps this video will help.  It’s going to be a great year!
