VTS Community

I’ve got 2 announcements that I need to make, and since we won’t be taking any new trades today I think it’s a good day to just get them both taken care of.  Of course I’m always here to answer as many questions as you have so take your time, but here goes:

1)  The new VTS Discretionary Strategy is ready and it’s very likely we will get into our first trade in the next few days.  This strategy was born by all of your wonderful questions over the years about other ways to invest beyond our existing strategies.  I’ve prepared a short video that should explain the basics:

2)  I’ve decided to move to 2 volatility strategies rather than 3.

–  VTS Conservative Vol   (ZIV, Cash, VXZ)
–  VTS Aggressive Vol  (SVXY, Cash, VIXY)

The reason I’m moving down to 2 strategies is because with the death of XIV and the reduced exposure in SVXY, there are currently no front month 1x products on the market anymore so there’s no reason to have 3 strategies that would be so similar.  I’ll keep an eye on VMIN and maybe it could serve a purpose soon, but as of now it’s just not ready.  The volatility space is constantly evolving and it’s important to stay nimble.
